How Much Does a Drum Show Cost: What Determines the Price
There is no single price for a drum show: the cost is built from line-up, duration, format, city, technical needs and date. We explain each factor and how to get an exact quote.

«How much does a drum show cost» is the first question an organiser asks when considering a drum act for a corporate event, wedding or product launch. The honest answer: there is no single figure, because a show is built around the event rather than sold off the shelf. Below we explain what determines the cost of a drum show, what is included in the price and how to get an exact quote within a day.
Why there is no fixed price
A drum show is not a finished product but a production. Three drummers playing 10 minutes in a Kyiv restaurant and an hour-long programme with six performers in LED costumes and fire at a stadium in another city are two different projects with different preparation, logistics and line-up. That is why RhythmMen first clarify the parameters of the event and only then name a sum. Over the years (the collective has been performing since 2008) we have learned that ten minutes of questions beat reworking the programme later.
Factors that affect the cost
1. Number of drummers
The most obvious factor. The classic line-up is three or four performers; for large halls and stadiums, five, six or more. Every drummer means a fee, an instrument, a costume and a seat in the van.
2. Duration and number of appearances
A short 5–7 minute opener, a standard 15–20 minute block, several appearances during the evening (guest welcome, climax, finale) or a 1.5–2 hour team building session are different amounts of work and preparation.
3. Show format
The traditional drum show is the baseline. LED drums and LED costumes need separate equipment and a darkened hall. Fire and laser elements add safety equipment and venue approvals. Ethno-percussion (Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Caribbean, Ukrainian rhythms), steel barrels, Drum-DJ or dance numbers each have their own line-up and props. More about the light format in the article «What are LED drums».
4. City and logistics
We are based in Kyiv. A performance in the capital involves no travel or accommodation; a trip to another city or abroad (RhythmMen have performed in more than 15 countries) adds transport, travel time and, where needed, a hotel for the team.
5. Technical needs of the venue
If the venue has a stage, sound and lighting, the show fits into the existing infrastructure. If not, equipment has to be brought in or rented. What exactly is needed is covered in our article on the drum show technical rider.
6. Date and season
December and pre-New Year corporate parties, Fridays and Saturdays in summer and September are peak times. A booking a few days before the event also costs more than a calm reservation made a month or two ahead.
7. Interactive blocks
A drum interactive, where guests or the newlyweds play together with the performers, requires an instrument for every participant and a drummer-host. For 30 guests and for 300 employees this is a very different amount of props.
8. Custom choreography
A number built around your corporate identity: brand colours in the LED programme, a logo on the drums, music timed to the key message of the presentation, a rehearsal with your speaker or staff. This is separate work for a choreographer and a sound engineer.
9. Additional performers
Drums plus dancers, vocals, fire or a DJ mean additional artists and additional fees.
What is included in the price
- the performance in the agreed line-up and duration;
- instruments, costumes and props (including LED equipment for the light format);
- backing tracks and a prepared script for the number;
- set-up and tear-down of the instruments, sound check;
- coordination with your technical staff and MC before the event.
Travel and accommodation outside Kyiv, rental of sound and lighting if the venue has none, and custom branding are usually counted separately.
How to get an exact quote
Send us a short brief: date, city and venue, type of event and number of guests, preferred format and duration, and whether you need an interactive block. We usually reply with line-up options and a price within the day. If you are unsure about the format, look at examples in our videos or read how to choose a drum show for a corporate event.
How not to overpay
- Book ahead: one or two months out, prices and available dates are better.
- Check what the venue already has: stage, sound, lighting, dressing room.
- Choose a format for the task rather than «everything at once»: a short bright opener is enough to open a conference.
- Combine the show and the interactive in a single visit by the team; it is cheaper than two separate trips.
